Canadian Safety Council Certified
Description: The ATV Rider Course is a program
designed to train the operator in the safe and
efficient use of an all terrain vehicle. OH & S
requires that if the use of ATVs is part of the
job your employees perform, then proper training
in the safe handling is your responsibility. The
course includes both classroom and practical training,
with the greatest emphasis on operational skills.
Bear Awareness and Avoidance | Duration: 2 Hours

Description: The Bear Awareness and Avoidance program
was created to provide the most recent available
information on bear avoidance for members of the
public and industry alike. Knowing the appropriate
response to a sighting/encounter could save your
life and the lives of those you are with.

Enform Certified
Description: This two-day course was developed in
conjunction with the Canadian Association of Geophysical
Contractors. Topics will include personal protection,
chainsaw maintenance and handling, safe falling
practices, and safe bucking and limbing practices.

Safety Man Canada Certificate
Description: This course gives participants knowledge
to correctly identify a confined space, and the
hazards, equipment and preparation requirements.
Participants learn how to identify a confined space,
how to prepare for entry, Participants will learn
how to test and measure the atmosphere, how to identify
the physical hazards and what protective equipment
to wear. Responsibilities of workers prior to entry
and the necessary permits reviewed.

Description: The Confined Space Entry training program
is a program designed to instruct supervisors and
workers on the essential requirements for a safe
confined-space entry. The program contains theoretical
discussions on the preplanning and preparation of
a confined-space entry with emphasis and the rules
and regulations governing them.

Safety Man Canada Certificate
Description: The Confined Space Entry & Rescue
training program is a program designed to instruct
workers and safety personnel on the essential requirements
for a safe confined space rescue. The program contains
the discussions from the Confined Space Entry program,
however training is also provided on rescue techniques
and equipment. The Confined Space Entry Rescue program
includes practical exercises within a confined space
simulator.

Description: This course is interactive CD-ROM
Training program designed to orientate construction
workers with basic safety. Includes a WHMIS Certification.

Enviro Fire Training Certificate
Description: The first portion of the course is
spent in the classroom where a series of demonstrations
are used to ensure that the participants fully understand
the nature of fire and firefighting techniques.
The remainder of the course is spent on the fire
training grounds to give the participants actual
hands-on training in fighting a variety of fires.
Follows National Firefighting Prevention Association
Standards (NFPA).

Complete Certificate
Topics covered
include fall protection legislation, control levers,
anchor and free fall, full body harnesses, connecting
components, fall distance calculations and specialised
fall arrest systems.

Safety Man Canada Certificate
Description: This one-day course is designed for
personnel working with or near flammable substances
in the oil and gas industry. The course includes
an introduction to flammable substances, principles
of flammable gas/vapour detection, care and preparation
of combustible gas monitors, interpreting combustible
gas readings and control methods. A variety of instructional
techniques are used, including lectures, demonstrations,
class discussion, group exercises and hands-on practice.
Upon successful completion of the prescribed practical
skills and written examination, students receive
a certification of completion.

This course is designed for oilfield truck drivers operating vehicles 4, 500kg
and over. Some of the components included in this course include: professional
driving attitude, regulations and policies, national safety code, basic troubleshooting,
securing loads and road conditions.

Safety Man Canada Certificate Meets the Requirements
of Industry Recommended Practice (IRP)#17
Description: The focus of this course is damage
prevention to all buried facilities and meets IRP
17 criteria for Ground Disturbance activities. Topics
covered include: Definition of a Ground Disturbance,
the Acts and Regulations for Ground Disturbance,
Offences and Penalties under the Acts, Backfilling,
Resources for Identifying Underground Facilities,
Location marks and Color Codes, Permits, Crossing
Agreements, Pre-Job Meetings, Plot Plans and Drawings,
Emergency Response Plans, Code of practice. This
course can be designed to include company specific
policy, procedures, and required forms. Also included
can be a company specific orientation.
High Angle Rescue | Duration: 1 - 2 days
Completion Certificate
Description: This program is intended to teach workers
the basics needed to be part of a high angle rescue
team.

Enform Certified.
Description: This course is intended for all workers
in the petroleum industry who could be exposed to
hydrogen sulphide (H2S). The course covers the physical
properties and health hazards of H2S, how to protect
oneself and basic rescue techniques. Each student
is required to operate self-contained breathing
apparatus, a detector tube device, and perform rescue
breathing and rescue lift and drag exercises. An
industry standard certificate valid for three years
is issued upon successful completion of a written
examination and demonstration of the required skills.

Description: The Hydrate Safety training program
is designed to instruct supervisors and workers
on the essential requirements for safely controlling,
handling and removal of Hydrate formations.
Light Duty Vehicle | Duration: 1 day

This course is designed to provide training for all personnel who drive light
duty vehicles such as pick ups to and from field locations. Course components
include: driver awareness and attitude, basic driving principals, safety and
survival equipment, off highway driving and driving in adverse conditions.
After completion you will recieve 3 demerits off your driving record.

Description: In order to comply with Industry Recommended
Practice 16, oilfield companies need to provide
a basic safety training orientation to their workers.
Petroleum Industry Training Services has developed
an interactive CD-ROM training program that ensures
compliance with this recommended practice. This
comprehensive program includes a WHMIS certificate
as well as specialized lessons in four sectors of
the oil industry. Learners need only take the optional
lessons, which pertain to their sector.

Red Cross Standard First Aid
This course teaches the skills required to handle
emergency situations such as airways, breathing,

and sudden medical emergencies. This course also
includes CPR in all provinces and AED in provinces
with no legislative regulations.
Red Cross Emergency First Aid
This course teaches participants how to handle
emergency situations such as airways, breathing,
and heart attacks and to use CPR. This course also
includes CPR in all provinces and AED in provinces

Safety Man Canada Certificate
Description: This course has been updated to meet
the intent of the Clear Language Transportation
of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations. It is intended
for individuals who are involved in the transportation
and handling of dangerous goods associated with
oil and gas industry operation. It is ideal for
updating personnel with previous TDG training or
as an introductory session for new employees. Topics
include TDG legislation, classification, safety
marks, documentation, safe handling, incident reporting
and emergency response. A certificate, valid for
three years, is issued to each candidate upon successful
completion of a written examination.
